Photography
Quite often when producing marketing literature or exhibition stands we find our clients require additional imagery to help enhance the visual impact of the piece.
We therefore either offer stock images from a photo library, or the services of our photographer.
The first may seem like an easier and less expensive option initially (depending on how many images are required). However this can run the risk of similar images being spotted in other organisations literature, including your competitors. With literally hundreds of thousands of high quality images, the library is best suited when generic photos of landscapes, people, seasonal themes and backgrounds are required.
Using a photographer might be more expensive in the short term, but can in fact work out to be more economical in the long term. The benefits of having relevant, specific photographs of your building, your staff, your vehicles, or your products for use on your websites, emails, brochures, advertisements, merchandise can make the initial outlay seem insignificant. Not only can you use the images for whatever material you require, but you can keep them and edit them as you wish for future uses as well.
Below are examples of the work our photographer has undertaken in the commercial world, as well as being an official photographer of the 2012 Olympics. You can click on the links on the right to take you straight to a specific section.

- Image Manipulation:
Testing anti-vibration mounts. Use mouseover to see before and after. The two elements of this process were on opposite sides of a large room. The client expected to use two separate shots to show it all, but this solution told the whole story in one picture. |
These are the three elements as shot before being combined into one image. Note the other bits of retouching aimed at tidying up the picture. |
This furniture picture for GMT Designs was shot in the client's showroom. The final picture is on the left. Use mouseover on the right hand picture to see the differences. |
|
Note the work that has been done on the floor, the window and the mirror. The shot was done at night to allow for control of the lighting effecting at the window. |

West London Audi Showroom Use mouseover to see before and after. Space was limited on this site by a ten foot hedge directly behind the camera. An ultra-wide lens was a possibility but not one I like due to the inevitable distortion. |
These are the elements as shot before being combined into one image. Note the parked car in the foreground, the posts and the yellow lines have all been removed. |
